Traveling to St. Vincent, we had a layover on both arrival and departure at the
Piarco Airport, Trinidad. While there was a lot of sitting around and waiting, there was also some
great shopping, food and BEER! Trinidad is home to Carib and Stag beers. "Doubles" were the highlight
from the "Doubles Man" outside the airport. Doubles are curried chickpeas spooned on top of 2 pieces
of "bara" (fried bread) and then topped with very hot sauce and kutchela. A real Trini
treat!
